I just bought a house. The owner of the house is in bad shape and her power of attorney is selling the house.
What happens if the owner passes away before closing?
Does it resort to standard estate law where the estate needs to deal with the probate fees before selling it to us. And if that happens, are they liable as we have our notice in for getting out of our apartment and have no where to go if the house isnt handed over on closing?
