Open Question: Probate attorney is not doing his job?

Question : The executor signed final estate accounting 60 days ago but attorney has not submitted paperwork to court.
Question Details : At the time of signing he said it would be 2 or 3 weeks. A review hearing was set for 4/4/12 that he didn’t go to and it was rescheduled to 10/4/12. He once again (after finding this information on our counties web-site and calling him) is saying it will be 2 or 3 weeks but still has not submitted papers. It is a simple estate with no challenges or outstanding debts? What can we do or why is he taking so long? We were expecting final dispursement of funds and in-so-doing having to pay this guy $6000 (california.) We do not want to delay the process…….
